the choice is yours ?
With a great deal of persistence our filter out sourcing team, have manged to source a limited supply of GE GXRTQR replacement in-line water filters.
Most of our customers prefer to keep the original GXRTQR filter,
which is fitted using a locking nut compression joint.
If you prefer these GE GXRTQR filters, we recommend you buy the two pack,
as we are not sure of how long these will be available to us.
We have trawled the UK filter online stockists but have not found one that could supply us with the original replacement in-line fridge water filter, namely a GE GXRTQR
which you can find here on our website ...
The new GE GXRTDR requires some small plumbing adaption as it is a ' push fit ' fitting.
Having used these extensively, the trick is to make sure the pipe work you are using is completely dust free ( white spirit can be used ) and allow to dry. Push the connection completely on, mark pipe work to show the depth possible, then pull back to lock the push fitting mechanism in place.
We would still double check when water is evenytually turned back on.
We stock both filters so if you wish to change to the new replacement GE GXRTDR
in-line fridge water filter, they are ion stock at
These take a degree of 'faith' as the push fit, which is effective,
seems to be too much to trust, for some of our customers.
We know of some older plumbers who refuse to use this 'push fit fitting'
due to many mishaps in the past.
Some plumbing engineers do not like these joints,
as they can cause an issue if the locking clip is not fitted correctly.
Luckily the choice is yours while stocks last.
We will always do our best to source any filter you require, please simply email.
